Abir Mukherjee
Abir Mukherjee is a British-Indian crime novelist best known for the award-winning Wyndham & Banerjee series set in 1920s British Raj India, blending Golden Age detective tropes with rich historical detail. A former accountant, he debuted with A Rising Man (2016) after winning the Telegraph Harvill Secker Crime Writing Prize. His works, including the 2024 standalone thriller Hunted, have won the CWA Historical Dagger, Wilbur Smith Award, and Theakston Crime Novel of the Year.
